WhatsApp Templates Just Got Simpler: Only Approved Options, Native RTL Typing, and No More Surprise Send Failures
If you've ever sent a WhatsApp message through your account, picked a template, and then watched it fail after the fact, you know how frustrating that is. You did everything right, and it still didn't go out.
A set of WhatsApp improvements just landed that sorts a few of those headaches at once. Cleaner template selection, the ability to write right-to-left languages directly in your account, and a tidier Phone Numbers tab.
Only approved templates, everywhere you pick one
This is the big one. Wherever you choose a WhatsApp template - in Conversations, in Bulk Actions, and in your Workflow WhatsApp actions - you now only see templates that are already approved.
No more scrolling past ones that look fine but would fail the moment you hit send. If it's in the list, it's good to go.
And those dropdowns load faster too. They now pull only the light bit of data they actually need instead of loading each full template, so the picker feels quicker even on busy, heavy screens.
Type Arabic, Urdu, and Hebrew right in your account
If you write to customers in a right-to-left language, you used to have to draft your template somewhere else and paste it in. That's gone.
You can now create and edit right-to-left templates directly in the template forms. Type Arabic, Urdu, or Hebrew natively, and it behaves the way it should as you go.
It also works alongside the WhatsApp AI template generator, so you can draft an RTL template quickly and tidy it up in the same place.
A cleaner Phone Numbers tab
The WhatsApp Phone Numbers tab no longer runs off the edge of the page. Long lists now scroll properly and are paginated, which makes a real difference if you're working on a smaller screen.
How to try it
Head to your WhatsApp templates and either author a new one or select one where you'd normally send. The difference shows up right where you work.
- Open Conversations, Bulk Actions, or a Workflow WhatsApp action to see the approved-only template list.
- Go to your WhatsApp templates to create or edit a right-to-left template directly.
- Check the Phone Numbers tab to see the cleaner scrolling and pagination.
Less time troubleshooting failed sends, more time actually talking to your customers. Go pick a template and see how much lighter it feels.
