WhatsApp fixed: no more false reconnect prompt, and Settings that actually loads

August 19, 2026

If you use WhatsApp inside your account, you've probably hit one of these two annoyances. A message window closes, and suddenly the composer tells you to "Connect WhatsApp" even though nothing changed. Or you open your WhatsApp Settings and stare at a blank page until you refresh it three times.

Both are fixed now.

The false "Connect WhatsApp" prompt is gone

Here's what was happening. WhatsApp gives you a 24-hour window to message someone freely after they contact you. Once that window closes, you can only send approved templates - that's Meta's rule, not ours.

The problem was that after that window shut, the composer sometimes showed "Connect WhatsApp" on an account that was fully connected the whole time. So a working account looked broken, and you were blocked from sending the one thing you were still allowed to send: a template.

The composer now waits for your connection status to actually load before it shows you anything. If your account is connected, you get the template send path straight away - no reconnect prompt, no second-guessing whether WhatsApp is down.

WhatsApp Settings loads the first time

The Settings and Manage page had its own habit of getting stuck. You'd open the WhatsApp tab under Settings and land on a blank or endlessly-loading screen, then refresh a few times before it finally appeared.

That's sorted. The page now renders on first open.

It's also a lot quicker. The page fills in far sooner than before, so configuring WhatsApp or checking your setup no longer means waiting and reloading.

What this means for you day to day

These are two screens WhatsApp users touch constantly - the composer where you reply to people, and the Settings where you manage the connection. Both now open in the correct state the first time, so a working account looks like a working account.

There's nothing to switch on. Next time you're in Conversations or your WhatsApp Settings, it should already behave itself.
