Check Your WhatsApp Delivery and Read Rates by Just Asking the AI Assistant in Workflows

August 15, 2026

You set up a workflow, add a WhatsApp step, and trust it's doing its job. But was that message actually delivered? Did anyone read it? Until now, checking meant digging through separate dashboards and execution logs.

That's sorted. The AI Assistant in your workflows now reports on WhatsApp performance right alongside Email and SMS. You just ask, in plain English, and it gives you the numbers.

What you get

Ask about any WhatsApp step and the Assistant pulls the figures from live data. You'll see total sends, how many were delivered, failed, or still pending, plus the delivery and failure rates worked out for you.

It also tells you how many delivered messages were actually read, and the read rate that goes with it. So you're not guessing whether your messages are landing and being seen.

Give it a time window, say "last 2 weeks," and it compares that against the period just before it. You'll see whether your volume is up or down and whether delivery is trending the right way.

Each answer leads with the headline numbers, then points out what changed in plain language - volume, delivery versus failure, and read behaviour. No spreadsheets to decode.

How to use it

  1. Open the AI Assistant inside any workflow.
  2. Ask for what you want, for example: "fetch the WhatsApp delivery stats for this workflow for the last 2 weeks."
  3. Read the answer. There's nothing to set up first.

In the screenshot below, you'll see the Assistant returning the WhatsApp delivery and read metrics right in the workflow.

WhatsApp is one of the most used steps in workflows, so having its performance in the same place as your Email and SMS numbers means you can size up how a whole workflow is doing without leaving it.

If you've got a workflow running WhatsApp messages right now, open the Assistant and ask it how the last couple of weeks went. It'll take you about thirty seconds to find out.
