Your Appointment Workflows Now Include Every Guest Automatically
If you run group sessions, discovery calls with multiple attendees, or any appointment where more than one person shows up - this update is for you.
ESC Hub appointment workflows can now enrol every guest on an appointment, not just the person who booked it.
What's changed
When you set up a Customer Booked Appointment or Appointment Status trigger in your workflow, you'll now see a new option: Who should be enrolled into the workflow?
You have three choices:
Contact only - the primary contact is enrolled (this is the existing default and nothing changes for your current workflows)
Contact and Guests - the workflow runs once for the primary contact and once for each guest
Guests only - guests are enrolled and the primary contact is skipped
Why it matters
Before this update, appointment workflows only fired for the person who made the booking. If you had guests on the appointment - a colleague, a partner, a team member - they weren't getting your reminders, confirmations, or follow-up messages. You had to handle that manually or hope the primary contact passed the information on.
Now you can automate the full experience for everyone attending, not just the person who clicked the booking link.

How to set it up
Open the workflow you want to update inside ESC Hub
Add or edit a Customer Booked Appointment or Appointment Status trigger
In the enrollment settings, choose your preferred option - Contact only, Contact and Guests, or Guests only
Save and publish
That's it. Your existing triggers are not affected - they default to Contact only automatically, so nothing breaks.
One thing to note: if guests are added to an appointment after it has already been booked, they won't be enrolled by the original trigger event. Make sure guests are added before the appointment is created if you need them included from the start.
Ready to set this up in your account? Log in to ESC Hub and give it a try - your guests will thank you.
