Your Add Task Action Just Got a Lot More Flexible
The Add Task workflow action has always been a handy way to create follow-up tasks automatically. But due dates were limited to a short window - which made it difficult to plan anything more than a few days ahead.
That's changed now.
You can set task due dates using days, weeks, months, or years. Add a specific time of day. Skip weekends so tasks don't land on days nobody's working. And before you save, a live preview shows you exactly when the task will be due if the workflow ran right now.
No more guessing. No more workarounds.
What's New
Set due dates using days, weeks, months, or years - not just a short fixed window
Add a specific due time alongside the date
Enable Skip Weekends and the due date automatically moves to the next working day
See a live preview of the exact due date and time before saving
Write task descriptions in rich text - formatting is preserved when the task is saved and displayed
How to Set It Up
In your workflow, open the Add Task action and look for the Due In field. Enter a number and choose your time unit - days, weeks, months, or years. Optionally set a due time and toggle Skip Weekends if needed. Add your task description using rich text, then check the live preview at the bottom before saving.
That's it - your workflow will now create tasks with the exact due date and time you've set.

Why It Matters
If you've ever needed to create a follow-up task two weeks after a form submission, or assign a check-in call a month after onboarding, this is the update you've been waiting for. You now have full control over long-term task planning directly inside your workflows - without any manual adjustments after the fact.
Existing workflows using the current due date setup will continue to work exactly as they do now. Nothing breaks - this just gives you more options going forward.
