WhatsApp Media Retention Is Here
How It Works
ESC Hub now automatically stores WhatsApp media for up to one year, removing the short expiration limits that previously caused files to disappear.
This applies to both inbound and outbound media, including photos, videos, PDFs, and documents shared through WhatsApp conversations. Instead of files expiring after a few days or weeks, they are securely retained inside the CRM and remain accessible alongside each contact record.
In addition, important WhatsApp files can now be saved directly to a contact’s Documents section, keeping everything organised in one place.
How to Use
WhatsApp media retention works by default. No setup required.
To save a file to Documents:
Open a WhatsApp conversation inside ESC Hub.
Click on any media attachment.
Select Add to Documents.
The file is instantly saved to the contact’s Documents section.
This works for both inbound and outbound WhatsApp media.

Why This Matters
WhatsApp has strict limits on how long media files remain available. Inbound files can expire after seven days, and outbound files after thirty days. Once expired, those files cannot be recovered.
This update removes that risk entirely.
You no longer lose important documents, images, or attachments tied to conversations. Everything stays available when you need it, even months later.
It also reduces the need for manual downloads, workarounds, or duplicate storage systems.
