If you're setting up a new toll-free number for texting, there's a small change to the verification form worth knowing about.

You now need to provide two links before you can submit: your Privacy Policy URL and your Terms and Conditions URL. Both are required, and both are live in the form right now.

What changed

Carriers are the ones behind this. From September 15, 2026, any new toll-free verification submitted without both links gets rejected outright. To save you the back-and-forth, ESC Hub has added the fields now so you can fill them in and keep your submission moving.

The old way was frustrating - the form never asked for policy links, so a missing policy page only came to light after the carrier bounced your whole submission. Now it's asked for up front, so there are no surprises.

Where to add your links

Steps 1 and 2 of verification haven't changed at all. The new fields sit on Step 3, the Messaging use case step, directly below your opt-in workflow images.

In the screenshot below, you'll see the two new fields. Drop in the full web address for your Privacy Policy page and your Terms and Conditions page, then finish your submission as usual.

Both fields have to be filled before the Submit button will let you send it through, so there's no way to accidentally leave one out.

Already have a verified number?

You don't need to do anything. Existing verified numbers are out of scope here - no update, no re-verification. This only applies to new toll-free verifications.

If you don't yet have Privacy Policy and Terms pages on your site, now's a good time to sort them, since you'll need both links ready before you submit. Get those in place and your new number will sail through.
