Pause Workflow Actions Without Deleting Them
How It Works
You can now pause individual workflow actions inside the Standard Builder instead of deleting or disconnecting them.
This lets you temporarily disable specific steps while testing, debugging, or iterating on a workflow, without breaking the overall structure.
Each action includes a simple Pause / Play toggle.
When an action is paused, it is skipped during execution while the rest of the workflow continues to run as normal.`
Paused actions appear visually dimmed so it is clear they are inactive.
When you are ready, you can re-enable the action instantly without rebuilding or reconnecting anything.
How to Use It
Open a workflow in the Standard Builder.
Hover over any workflow action.
Use the Pause / Play toggle to disable the action.
The paused action will be skipped when the workflow runs.
Re-enable the action at any time when you are ready.

If a paused action is the only step on a path, contacts will automatically bypass it and continue through the remaining active steps.
Why This Matters
Previously, stopping a workflow action often meant deleting it or disconnecting paths, which could lead to lost work or broken logic.
Pausing actions gives you a safer way to test and troubleshoot without risking the integrity of your workflow.
This helps you:
Test changes without rebuilding workflows
Debug issues faster
Avoid accidental automation breaks
Iterate with confidence
Instead of rebuilding from scratch, you can pause, test, and resume in seconds.
Use Cases
Temporarily stop emails or messages while testing triggers.
Pause steps during live troubleshooting without disrupting contacts.
Test alternate workflow paths safely.
Disable actions during campaign updates or revisions.
Debug complex workflows without deleting logic.
Availability
This feature is available in the Standard Builder.
Paused actions are skipped during execution and resume normally once re-enabled.
No additional setup is required.
