Flow-Based Auto Follow-Up for Conversation AI
How It Works
Conversation AI Auto Follow-Up now runs directly inside the Flow Builder, giving you control over what happens when a contact stops responding.
Instead of sending contacts into a separate re-engagement workflow, follow-ups can now happen inside the same flow where the conversation started.
When a contact goes quiet, says they’re busy, or asks to follow up later, Conversation AI detects the drop-off and handles the follow-up automatically.
You decide how and when follow-ups should happen, without breaking the conversation or losing context.
Auto Follow-Up works as part of the existing workflow, so when a contact replies, the conversation continues naturally from where it left off.
This turns static automations into conversations that can pause, wait, and resume based on real contact behaviour.
How to Use It
Open an existing workflow or create a new one.
Add Conversation AI actions inside the flow.
Enable Auto Follow-Up for scenarios where a contact stops replying, says they’re busy, or requests a follow-up later.
Choose how Conversation AI should respond, such as sending an AI message, capturing information, booking an appointment, or continuing the conversation.
Save and publish the workflow.
Why This Matters
Traditional workflows stop working the moment a contact goes silent.
This update allows conversations to recover automatically without restarting, branching into new workflows, or losing context.
You get smoother follow-ups, better response rates, and conversations that feel more human instead of automated.
Use Cases
Following up when a lead stops replying mid-conversation.
Handling “I’m busy” responses without manual intervention.
Restarting stalled conversations without resetting the workflow.
Keeping appointment booking and qualification flows moving forward.
What to Know
Auto Follow-Up is now configured inside the Flow Builder.
Supported actions include AI messages, information capture, appointment booking, and conversation continuation.
All other behaviour remains the same as the existing auto follow-up feature, just with more control and visibility.
When you’re ready, I’ll move cleanly to Keywords next.
