If you've spent time building automations in ESC Hub, you'll know the frustration. You need a specific field, you open the picker, and you're left manually digging through folders and subfolders to find it - slowing down your setup and making it easy to miss fields that are buried a level or two deep.

That's been fixed.

The field picker in both the Custom Value Picker and If/Else action has been upgraded. Search now returns fields from inside nested folders, navigation across folders and subfolders is smoother, and the overall experience is cleaner and more consistent across the platform.

What's Changed

• Nested field search - type a field name and matching results appear even if that field lives inside a folder or subfolder - no manual folder opening needed

• Easier navigation - move through nested folders more smoothly when browsing manually

• Cleaner organisation - fields are grouped more clearly, making the list easier to scan

• Better readability - long field names now show tooltips so you can read full values without cluttering the picker

• Consistent experience - the picker now feels the same across If/Else and Custom Value Picker options throughout your workflows

How to Use It

Open the field picker in Custom Values or an If/Else branch filter. Type the field name in the search box. Select the matching field directly from the results - including fields stored inside nested folders. That's it. No more opening folders one by one to find what you need.

Why It Matters

The more custom fields and folders your account has, the more time you were losing to this. Every automation build that required a nested field meant extra clicks, extra searching, and a higher chance of picking the wrong one.

Faster field selection means faster workflow builds - and fewer mistakes along the way.
