Your call tracking now tells you which ads actually drove the call
You run an ad, the phone rings, and you want to know one simple thing: which ad made it ring. Until now, that was harder than it should have been.
A lot of calls from Facebook ads were showing up as plain "Facebook" or even "Direct". So you couldn't really tell paid traffic from someone who just stumbled across your page. That's now fixed.
What you get
Your number pool call tracking is better at spotting where a call came from, and it labels each one properly.
- Calls from Facebook ads now show as Facebook Paid.
- Calls from TikTok, LinkedIn, and Microsoft (Bing) ads, plus Google ads clicked inside apps, are now labelled by platform too.
- If your ad link uses a cpc tag, the source shows as the platform plus "Paid", like Bing Paid.
- Visits that come from ChatGPT and similar AI tools now show up as their own source, so you can see that traffic for what it is.
In short, your call reports start telling you the truth about what's working.
Where to find it
There's nothing to turn on. Your number pool tracking script updates itself, so you just carry on as normal.
To see the new labels, open your call reports or any individual call's details. In the screenshot below, you'll see the source now reads as the actual ad platform rather than a vague "Facebook" or "Direct".

A few honest notes
These labels apply to new calls only. Any past calls keep the source they already have, so don't expect your old reports to change.
Some calls will still show as "Direct". That happens when a visitor's browser hides where they came from and the link has no ad tracking code attached. In those cases, there's simply nothing to read, so the system can't label it.
And if a link happens to carry several ad tracking codes, the first match wins. The order checked is Google first, then Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Next time you open your call reports, take a look. For the first time you'll be able to see, call by call, which of your ads are actually bringing the phone to life.
