Branch Your Workflows Based on Who Owns or Follows an Opportunity
Opportunity ownership and follower assignments are a core part of how sales and account management teams organise their work in ESC Hub. Workflows can now branch based on those assignments.
What's changed
Opportunity Owners and Opportunity Followers are now available as condition fields in If/Else workflow branches. When an If/Else step evaluates an opportunity, it can check whether a specific owner or follower is assigned and route the contact down the appropriate branch based on what it finds.
Conditions are evaluated using the owners and followers currently assigned to the opportunity at the time the workflow reaches the If/Else step.
To use it, add or edit an If/Else action in your workflow, select Opportunity Owners or Opportunity Followers as the condition field, configure the condition, and save.
Existing workflows are unaffected unless these new conditions are explicitly configured.

Why it matters
Until now, workflows could not branch based on opportunity ownership - which meant routing, notifications, and follow-up actions tied to who owns or follows a deal required workarounds. This update removes that limitation and makes it straightforward to build automations that respond to how your opportunities are actually assigned.
