A2P Rejection Guidance Now Matches How You Set Up Your Campaign
If you've ever registered your account to send text messages, you'll know the approval step can come back rejected. You open the fixes, read the instructions, and get asked to change fields you never touched. Confusing, and easy to get wrong.
That's been sorted out.
What landed
The guidance inside the "View required fixes" window has been rewritten so it matches how you actually registered. The fix for a rejection sits in a different place depending on whether you set up through the Chat Widget Quick Setup or through Manual Setup, and the instructions now reflect that.
What's different
- Guidance for your setup. The most common rejection reasons now show separate steps for Chat Widget (Quick Setup) and Manual Setup, so you're pointed to the right spot.
- Clearer next steps. Each reason explains in plain language what happened, then lists the exact actions to take.
- Know when it's not on you. Some rejections come from something the system generates, like the chat widget's consent wording. You'll be told, and pointed to support, so you don't waste a resubmission on something you can't change.
- Exact wording where carriers require it. For things like privacy policy verification, the steps include the required statement to use.
- Notice when resubmitting won't help. For something like a business type mismatch, you'll be told what has to change first before you try again.
How this helps
Before, the window just showed the carrier's generic instructions, written for every registration method at once. Chat Widget users were regularly asked to fix fields or consent wording they never wrote, which meant guessing, resubmitting, and often waiting on support.
Now the instructions line up with your actual setup. You fix the right thing the first time and resubmit knowing you've addressed what the rejection was really about.
If you've got a rejected registration sitting in your account, open the required fixes and take another look. The steps should make a lot more sense this time.
