Your Media Library Now Accepts Images Directly From Public URLs

June 10, 20261 min read

Adding an image to your ESC Hub Media Library has always meant downloading it to your device first and then uploading it. That extra step is gone.

What's changed

You can now import images directly into Media Storage using a public image URL. Paste the link, preview the image before it is added, and click Import. The file name and image dimensions are retrieved automatically from the source URL, and the image is saved to your current Media Storage folder just like a standard upload.

Built-in validation catches invalid links, unsupported file formats, and oversized images before they are imported. You will also be prompted to confirm copyright ownership or usage rights before the import completes.

To use it, open Media Storage, click Upload, and select Upload from URL.

Why it matters

If you regularly work with images from CDNs, shared image links, or stock photo libraries, the download-then-upload process is an unnecessary extra step. Being able to bring assets straight into your media library from a URL keeps your workflow faster and your device storage cleaner.
