Smoother Form Editing on Smaller Screens
How It Works
ESC Hub has updated how the side-tray behaves when editing Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes.
Instead of the side-tray opening automatically and taking over valuable screen space, editing controls have been moved to a dedicated settings icon. You can now open the side-tray only when you need it, and close it again without losing your current selection.
This makes inline editing far smoother, especially on smaller screens where space is limited.
How to Use
To use the new side-tray behaviour:
Open a form, survey, or quiz in the builder.
Click on or drag an element to reveal the settings icon.
Click the settings icon to open the side-tray.
Make your changes as needed.
Close the side-tray at any time. Your selected element stays active.
You can continue editing inline without the tray constantly reopening or blocking your view.

Why This Matters
Inline editing can become frustrating when panels constantly interrupt your workflow, especially on laptops or tablets.
This update gives you more control over when the side-tray appears, helping you stay focused on your content rather than the interface. It also improves usability across different screen sizes without changing how the builder works overall.
Small change. Much smoother experience.
