Selling through your forms and surveys is handy, but asking someone for their credit card when the order comes to nothing has always felt a bit off.

Now you can turn that off. When a product order totals $0 with nothing recurring due, the payment fields disappear and the order completes as a free checkout - no card required.

What you get

There's a new setting on the Sell Products element called Require card for $0 orders. It works in both Forms and Surveys.

Switch it off, and any order that lands at $0 with nothing recurring will hide the payment fields entirely and complete for free. That includes coupon-driven zeros - if a 100% discount brings the total to $0, the card field vanishes as soon as it hits zero.

This means free and paid offers can finally live in the same form or survey, without asking people for card details they shouldn't need to give.

How to turn it on

Add or open a Sell Products element in your form or survey. In the screenshot below, you'll see the new toggle sitting in the element settings.

1. Open your Form or Survey and select the Sell Products element.
2. Find Require card for $0 orders and turn it off.
3. Save your form or survey.

From then on, when a customer's selection totals $0 with nothing recurring due, the payment fields are hidden and the order completes without any card entry. In the screenshot below, you can see how the checkout looks once the total reaches zero.

A few things worth knowing

• The setting defaults to on, so nothing changes for your existing forms and surveys unless you choose to turn it off.
• Subscriptions and free trials always require a card, even when nothing is due today, because a card is needed for the future charge.
• If a total can't be confirmed as $0 - say the pricing summary hasn't loaded, or the customer submits while totals are still updating - the card is always shown and payment is collected as normal.
• Free orders are still created and recorded, so your submissions and order history stay complete.
• For forms and surveys embedded in a funnel, the funnel-level Require Credit Card setting takes precedence over this element setting.

A small change, but a thoughtful one. If you offer anything free through a form or survey, go flip that toggle and give your people one less thing to fuss over.
