Sell Products and Take Payments Inside Your AI Studio Apps

October 09, 2026

You build an app in AI Studio, it looks great, and then you want it to actually take money. Until now that meant bolting on something separate.

Now you can sell straight from your app. Connect your products, ask the agent to add payments, and your app gets a secure, hosted checkout.

What landed

Payments in AI Studio uses ESC Hub's own built-in payments. Your products, orders, payment providers and subscriptions are the same ones already set up in your account. There's nothing new to configure and no second system to keep in sync.

You decide what can be sold, the agent builds the storefront and checkout for you, and buyers pay through a hosted checkout that never touches your app's code.

Turning payments on

Open your app, go to More, then the new Payments tab. Switch Payments on, and choose whether you're in test or live mode while you set things up.

From here you pick which catalog products your app is allowed to sell. Only the products and prices you allow can ever be shown or charged, so you stay in control of exactly what buyers can buy.

For each product, choose how it's priced: one fixed price, a selected set of variations like sizes, tiers or plans, or the product's full catalog of options.

Let the agent add the checkout

Once your products are connected, just ask the agent to add payments. It shows you a card asking you to approve the connection first.

Approve it, and the agent builds a storefront and checkout into your app. The payment code is managed by the system, so neither you nor the agent can break it by accident. If something gets edited, it's restored on the next turn.

What buyers get

Card details are entered and processed in the hosted checkout, never in your app's code. A few things worth knowing:

  • PayPal express checkout is supported.
  • Coupon codes can be entered at checkout, and a fully discounted order goes through without asking for a card.
  • Subscriptions work in checkout and upsells, including carts with more than one subscription product.
  • The checkout picks up your site's colour scheme instead of a fixed default.
  • Bot protection runs on every purchase.

Your generated storefront shows proper product listings and detail pages pulled from your catalog, with thumbnails and formatted descriptions.

One-click upsells after purchase

After a successful purchase you can show buyers an offer page they can accept with a single click, no re-entering card details. One-click works with saved cards from Stripe (including 3D Secure), Square, Authorize.net, NMI, Adyen and Mercado Pago. Other payment methods use the regular payment form.

An upsell can only be charged after the original order is paid, and only once per order, even if the buyer has several tabs open.

A couple of honest notes

Payments currently works with apps built on TanStack Start. Other project types won't see the option yet.

If you have an existing React project you want to use payments in, you can migrate it. Go to Project Settings, then Migrate to SSR. That makes an upgraded copy of your project and leaves the original live and untouched, so you can test the new copy before you publish it.

If you've been waiting to sell from an app you built, this is your moment. Turn it on in test mode, run a practice order, and see how it feels before you go live.
