Turn Your Best Google Demand Gen Campaigns Into Reusable Templates
You spend the time getting a Google Demand Gen campaign set up just right. Then the next one comes along, and you're back at the start, rebuilding the same thing from scratch.
There's now a better way. You can save an existing Demand Gen campaign straight to your Template Library, then reuse it whenever you need it.
What you get
Any Google Demand Gen campaign in Ad Manager can now be uploaded as a template. Once it's saved, you can run that same setup again, or roll it out across other locations, without redoing all the configuration.
Uploaded campaigns land as Draft templates first, so nothing goes live before you're ready. You get to review it, make any edits, and publish it only when it's exactly how you want it.
How to use it
It's built right into the campaign menu, so it takes just a few clicks.
- Go to Ad Manager, then Campaigns.
- Find the Google Demand Gen campaign you want to save.
- Click the ellipsis (three-dot) menu on that campaign.
- Select Upload to Template Library.
- Add a Template Name and Category so you can find it again later.
- Upload the campaign.
- Review the draft template and publish it when you're happy with it.
In the screenshot below, you'll see the ellipsis menu on the campaign with the Upload to Template Library option ready to click.
A couple of honest notes: uploaded campaigns always start as Draft templates, so you review before anything is reusable, and your existing Template Library workflows carry on exactly as before.
If you've got a Demand Gen campaign that's working well, save it now. Future you will be glad it's ready to reuse.
