Post Announcements Right Inside Your Courses
Until now, if you wanted to tell your students something - a new lesson dropped, a live call is coming up, enrolment closes Friday - you had to fire off a separate email and hope they opened it.
Now you can post the update right inside your course, where your learners already are.
What you get
There's a new Announcements area in your Courses admin. From there you can create, edit, clone, and delete announcements whenever you like.
Each announcement supports proper formatting - you can add text, images, and links, so it doesn't have to be a plain grey box. You choose who sees it too, whether that's learners in one specific course or everyone across all your courses.
If you want the message to land in their inbox as well, you can flip on email notifications and it goes out to your course members by email at the same time.
On the learner's side, new announcements show up with a banner and an unread indicator, and there's a dedicated spot where they can read them all without leaving their lessons.
How to create one
Go to Courses, then open Announcements. In the screenshot below, you'll see the list where all your announcements live and the button to start a new one.
Click to create a new announcement, then give it a title and add your content. As you can see here, you can format the text and drop in images and links to make it clear and easy to read.
Next, choose who should see it. You can target a specific course or share it across all your courses. This is also where you decide whether to send it out by email as well - just enable the email notification option if you'd like it to reach members' inboxes too.
When you're happy, hit Publish. Below you can see how it shows up for your learners, with the banner and unread marker letting them know something new is waiting.
That's the whole thing. One central place to keep your students in the loop, without juggling a separate email campaign every time you have news. Go post your first announcement and see how it feels.
