See Exactly How People Go From Event Page to RSVP with Meta Pixel Tracking
You run an ad, people click, and some of them RSVP or buy a ticket. But how many? And where did the rest drop off? Until now, once someone landed on your event page, the trail went cold.
That gap is closed. You can now add your Meta Pixel straight to an event and watch the whole journey - from someone viewing your event page, to starting a registration, to completing an RSVP or a ticket order.
What you can now track
Add your Meta Pixel ID to an event, then choose which Meta event fires at each step of the attendee journey. You set this up per event, so every event can have its own tracking.
For RSVP events, you can track three key points:
- Event page viewed - when someone loads your published event page
- RSVP started - when they open the RSVP form
- RSVP completed - when the RSVP is confirmed
For ticketed events, you get the full purchase funnel:
- Event page viewed
- Checkout started
- Ticket selection completed
- Registration form submitted
- Payment details submitted
- Ticket order completed
One nice touch: completed orders are tracked even when the ticket is free. So a $0 order still gives you a clean conversion signal, the same way a paid one does.
Richer data for paid tickets
When a ticket order completes, you can send more than just "it happened" to Meta. You can pass the order value, the currency, how many tickets were bought, and the ticket identifiers.
That means you can measure actual revenue from your campaigns, not only how many people registered.
No double-counting
There's also session-based deduplication built in. If someone hits the back button, refreshes the page, gets sent through a payment redirect, or the system checks a completion twice, the same action won't get reported more than once. Your conversion numbers stay honest.
How to set it up
Open your event, go to Settings, then Link & tracking, and find the Meta Pixel section. In the screenshot below, you'll see where to paste your Meta Pixel ID.
Once your Pixel is in, you map each step of the journey to a Meta event. In the screenshot below, you'll see how to choose which Meta event fires for each action, from page view through to a completed order.
Save, and your event starts sending those signals to Meta as people move through it.
This is available now for Events Beta users, under Events, then Settings, then Link & tracking. If you're promoting an event, add your Pixel before your next push - it takes a couple of minutes and finally shows you what's really working.
