Your Lead Source Report Now Shows the Names and the Money Behind Every Number
You look at your Lead Source Report, see a number, and think: fine, but which leads are those actually? Until now, finding out meant leaving the report and searching by hand.
That's sorted. The report just got a proper upgrade, and it answers two questions at once: who are these leads, and what is each channel really worth.
What landed
A few useful changes all at once:
- Click any number to see the leads behind it. Any count under Total leads, Open, Won, Lost, or Abandoned is now clickable.
- Value for every status, not just the total. You can see the monetary value for Open, Won, Lost, and Abandoned.
- Leads with no source are visible. They now show up as "N/A" instead of being left out, and you can filter the Source by "Is empty" or "Is not empty".
- Cleaner layout. Rows are a consistent height and the columns stay readable on smaller screens.
How to use it
Add the Lead Source Report widget to your dashboard, or open one you already have.
Each source row now shows both the count and the value for every status. In the screenshot below, you'll see the counts sitting alongside what each channel is worth.
Click any count greater than zero and the report opens the exact list of opportunities that make up that number. No searching, no guessing, no leaving the page.
This is where it gets genuinely useful. You can compare won value against open and lost value by source, and see which channels actually bring in revenue versus which just bring in noise.
A quick tip on clean data
To check your attribution is solid, filter Source by "Is empty" or look at the "N/A" row. That shows you which opportunities came in without a source attached, so you can fix them and keep your channel reporting honest.
One note: the value figures only show for users with permission to view lead value, and drill-down works on any count above zero.
Next time you open your report, click a number and have a look at who's behind it. It's a small habit that tells you a lot about where your business actually comes from.
