Instagram Explore Is Gone as an Ad Placement, and Your Campaigns Are Fine
If you run ads through ESC Hub, there's a small change to know about. Meta has retired the Instagram Explore Feed as an ad placement, so it no longer appears when you build a campaign.
The good news is you don't need to do anything. This was Meta's decision, not ours, and your account has already handled the transition in the background.
What actually changed
Instagram Explore is no longer a selectable placement in the campaign creation workflow. That's the whole change. Meta removed it as part of their latest advertising update, and the system now keeps you in step with their requirements automatically.
In the screenshot below, you'll see the placement options as they now appear. Explore is simply no longer on the list.

What happens to your existing campaigns
Nothing breaks. Here's how it plays out depending on where your campaigns are:
- Live campaigns that had Explore enabled stay running exactly as they are, untouched.
- Draft campaigns have Explore removed automatically the moment you save the ad set.
- Delivery shifts to your other eligible placements, so your ads keep reaching people.
No errors, no failed campaigns, no scramble to rebuild anything.
What you need to do
Genuinely, nothing. There's no setting to flip and no cleanup on your end. The next time you build a campaign, you'll just notice Explore isn't in the placement list, and that's expected.
Everything else in your Ad Manager and Template Library works the same as before. Carry on as normal.
