Imported Calendar Bookings Now Block Rental Availability More Accurately
If you sync an external calendar with your rental listings in ESC Hub, the way imported bookings affect availability has been improved to produce more accurate results.
What's changed
Many OTA platforms and external calendar providers sync availability as date-only bookings without specific start and end times. Previously, ESC Hub treated these as midnight-to-midnight blocks - which could unintentionally block neighbouring dates and make listings appear unavailable when they should not be.
Imported calendar bookings now respect your listing's configured rental times. For Date Selector mode and Fixed Duration mode, a date-only imported event is blocked using your actual rental start and end times rather than a generic midnight-to-midnight block.
For example - if your rental uses 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out, and an imported calendar event blocks April 15 to April 17, availability will now be blocked from April 15 at 3:00 PM to April 17 at 11:00 AM. Previously that same event would have been interpreted as a full midnight-to-midnight block.
When imported events do include specific start and end times, those exact times are respected - so shorter events, partial-day events, and overnight events only block the actual time range specified.
When you update your booking mode or rental times, future and ongoing imported events are automatically recalculated using the latest configuration. Past events remain unchanged.

Why it matters
Listings appearing unavailable when they are actually bookable is a direct cost to your rental business. More accurate availability blocking means fewer missed bookings and better alignment between what your connected calendars show and what customers actually see.
