Bring Your Existing Threads Posts Into Social Planner Automatically

It's an early feature you turn on yourself in Settings > Labs inside your account. It works, but it's still in development - the documentation and support is limited and not everything will behave perfectly yet.

Your Threads posts have been living off on their own, separate from everything else you plan and publish. Now they can sit right alongside the rest of your social content in Social Planner, where you can actually see them, track how they did, and reuse the good ones.
What you get
Once it's running, your existing Threads content imports into Social Planner on its own. That covers text posts, images, videos, carousels, GIFs and polls.
Each synced post keeps the detail that came with it - the caption, media and thumbnail previews, and any location tags. You also get the engagement numbers alongside it: views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and shares. So you're not just seeing what you posted, you're seeing how it landed.
And you don't have to keep doing this by hand. After the first import, your Threads posts sync automatically every 24 hours. You can watch the sync progress, and if your account ever needs reconnecting, you'll get a notification.
Reuse the posts that worked
This is the part that saves you real time. When you spot a Threads post you'd like to run again, you can clone it straight from Social Planner. Cloning works for text, image, video, carousel and GIF posts, so you can take something that already did well and send it out again without rebuilding it from scratch.
How to use it
- Go to Marketing, then Social Planner, then Settings.
- Turn on Threads Post Sync.
- Let the first sync finish - this pulls your posts in.
- View your synced Threads posts inside Social Planner.
- Clone any supported post whenever you want to use it again.
A few honest notes
Sync is set per account, and it runs every 24 hours rather than in real time, so it's not instant. By default it brings in the last 30 days, and older posts, up to a year back, can be imported when needed.
A couple of things to expect: polls will show up so you can see them, but they can't be cloned yet because the Threads composer doesn't create polls, so you may see a "Poll content is not supported in preview" message. The sync is one-way, Threads into Social Planner, which means posts you delete on Threads will still show here. Text file attachments aren't included, and some engagement figures may be limited by what Threads makes available.
If Threads is part of how you show up, this is a tidy way to keep it in the same place as everything else. Have a play and see which of your old posts are worth another run.
