Full Domain Redirects Made Simple
How It Works
URL Redirects just got a UI refresh in ESC Hub, and it is now much easier to set up and manage 301 redirects.
The big win is that you can now create full domain redirects to external domains even if that domain is not connected to your account.
Here’s what’s new in the redirect flow:
Refreshed redirect builder that guides you through setup more clearly.
Smarter target options so you can redirect to:
A domain already connected to your account, or
A custom external domain you type in.
More destination choices so redirects can point to:
A custom URL
A funnel step
A website page
Live preview so you can see how the redirect will behave before saving.
Safer edits because the source is locked after creation. You can adjust the target without accidentally breaking the source settings.
Validation and error handling that flags invalid URLs, duplicates, and unsupported formats while you are setting it up.

A specific path, or
The entire domain.
Set your Target:
Pick a connected domain, or
Select Custom Domain and type the external domain you want to redirect to.
Choose the Destination Type:

Funnel Step
Website Page
Check the preview, then save.

Why This Matters
Redirects are one of those things that are simple in theory, but easy to mess up in practice.
This update helps you:
Set up redirects faster, with fewer clicks and less second guessing.
Avoid common mistakes like invalid URLs or duplicate redirects.
Handle full domain redirects to external domains without extra workaround steps.
Reduce confusion when you are moving domains, cleaning up old links, or fixing broken pages.
Use Cases
Redirect an old domain to a new domain
Perfect when you rebrand or move to a new website, and you want everything to forward correctly.
Send old links to a new page
Redirect an outdated page URL to the correct page so visitors do not hit a dead end.
Route traffic into a funnel
Point a simple link to the right funnel step without needing complicated link management.
Fix typos and common “wrong” URLs
Catch traffic going to a mistyped URL and send it to the right place automatically.
Important Notes
All existing redirects continue to work as they do today.
This update is available by default and does not require any manual enablement.
