Ad Manager Now Shows All Your Google and LinkedIn Errors Before You Publish
You build out an ad campaign, click Publish, and then get one error. You fix it, publish again, and get another one. Fix that, publish again, and up pops a third.
Running ads shouldn't feel like a guessing game. So here's a change that makes publishing to Google and LinkedIn a lot less stop-start.
What landed
Ad Manager now checks your campaign properly before it tries to publish, and shows you every problem it finds together, instead of dripping them out one at a time.
Each error tells you what needs fixing and where. Click one and it takes you straight to the field or section that needs attention - no hunting through your campaign to work out what it means.
This covers campaigns with multiple ads or creatives too, so the right item gets highlighted rather than leaving you guessing which one is the culprit.
How it works
You set everything up as normal - campaign, ad groups or ad sets, and your ads. Then click Publish.
If there's anything to sort out, you'll see a Fix errors before publishing prompt. Open the list and you'll see all the identified issues in one place, as in the screenshot below.
Click any error in that list and Ad Manager jumps you straight to the field or section it's talking about. You'll see in the next screenshot how the relevant spot is highlighted for you.
Work through them, then publish again. Anything you've already resolved refreshes correctly, so you're not chasing errors you've dealt with. The publishing status and background messaging is clearer now too, so you can actually tell what's happening while your campaign is being created.
The Google and LinkedIn specifics
For Google campaigns, there's an extra pre-publish check covering campaign fields, advertising requirements, and Google's own platform requirements. Demand Gen campaigns get better validation for things like required images, logos, videos, headlines, descriptions, long headlines, and carousel assets. You'll also get clearer messages about missing Website URLs and duplicate creative content.
For LinkedIn campaigns, the improvements focus on the carousel cards - required headlines and URLs - with better context telling you exactly which card needs attention.
One honest note: Google and LinkedIn can still return their own platform or policy rejections after you submit. This change won't catch those. But it will catch the everyday setup issues that used to send you round in circles.
Nothing to switch on - it's already working the next time you publish a Google or LinkedIn campaign. Fewer failed attempts, fewer retries, and a clearer path from setup to live.
