Event Calendars Now Come With Clear Behavior Alerts
How It Works
A new layer of clarity has arrived for Event Calendars. ESC Hub now surfaces key behavioral differences right where users need them — on setup screens and edit screens — so they know exactly how Event Calendars behave before they create or modify one.
This update adds two things:
A visible helper message inside the Calendar Setup UI that flags functional differences.
A hover-tooltip that expands into a full list of known limitations or behavioral notes.
Both additions reduce confusion and eliminate those “why doesn’t this sync like my other calendars?” moments.
How to Use
When setting up or editing an Event Calendar:
Go to Calendars and choose Event Calendar as your type.
You’ll notice a new label that reads: “This calendar type has key differences.”
A small info icon appears alongside it.Hover over the info icon to view a detailed tooltip explaining all known functional differences, including assignment rules, sync behaviors, and usage notes.
This means you don’t need to guess — the system tells you upfront what’s unique about Event Calendars so you can configure confidently.
Why This Matters
Event Calendars are powerful, but they do behave differently from standard calendars. Historically, those differences weren’t obvious, which led to:

• Confusion around syncing and user assignment
