Invoices, Calendar Alerts and System Emails Now Reach Contacts Even on Do Not Disturb
You mark a contact as Do Not Disturb to stop the marketing emails, and rightly so. But until now, that same setting also blocked the emails they genuinely needed to see - their invoice, their appointment reminder, an important system alert.
That's been fixed.
What changed
Three types of essential email will now reach a contact even when they're set to Do Not Disturb:
- Payments and invoices - so people always get the bill they're expecting
- Calendar notifications - booking confirmations, reminders and updates
- System notifications - the operational alerts tied to their account
These aren't marketing messages. They're the practical, time-sensitive emails that keep things running, so it never made sense for them to go undelivered.
Your marketing emails still respect DND
This is not a free pass around Do Not Disturb. Every promotional and marketing email you send still fully honours a contact's DND setting, exactly as it always has. Only those three essential types are exempt.
So the person who opted out of your newsletters still won't hear about your next offer. They'll just also get their invoice, their appointment reminder and any important account alerts, which is what they'd expect anyway.
Do you need to do anything?
No. This is already live across your account. There's no setting to switch on and nothing to change in your contacts or workflows. Your DND markings stay exactly as you've set them, and the right emails simply get through now.
One less thing slipping through the cracks, without you lifting a finger.
