When a Client Changes Plans, Their Invoices Now Update Automatically
If you sell plans to your own clients through their account, here's a small fix that saves you an awkward conversation later.
When a client upgraded or downgraded their plan, the record behind the scenes updated, but the plan details shown inside their account stayed on the old plan. So the invoice they received could show the wrong product, the wrong price, or the wrong tax.
That's now sorted.
What changed
When a client changes their plan, their subscription details inside their account now update on their own to match. No manual step from you.
The upshot is simple. Every invoice that goes out reflects the plan they're actually on right now, with the correct product, price, and tax. No more mismatched invoices, and no more chasing down a charge that doesn't line up.
What you need to do
Nothing. This works automatically from now on, every time a client upgrades or downgrades.
One honest note: this applies to plan changes made from here on. If a client's subscription was already out of sync before this update, it'll be corrected the next time they upgrade or downgrade.
So if you've got a client whose details look off, don't stress. It'll tidy itself up at their next plan change, and everything going forward is handled for you.
