Better Appointment Visibility for Teams
How It Works
ESC Hub has improved appointment visibility for team members who follow contacts.
Previously, only the assigned user could view appointments connected to a contact. This sometimes made collaboration difficult when multiple team members were working with the same client.
With this update, followers can now view appointments for contacts they follow, provided the correct permissions are enabled.
This change ensures team members who are involved with a contact can see relevant appointments without needing to be the assigned user.
How to Use It
This improvement works automatically once the appropriate permissions are enabled.
Ensure the user has View Appointments, Calendars & Groups permission.
The user must be following the contact.
The user will then be able to see appointments linked to that contact.
If the user also has Manage Appointments permission, they can edit or manage the appointment. Without that permission, they can still view the appointment but cannot modify it.
Why This Matters
In many teams, more than one person may interact with the same customer.
When appointments were visible only to the assigned user, it could create confusion or slow down collaboration.
This update improves transparency by allowing team members who follow a contact to see upcoming appointments and stay informed.
It helps you:
• Improve collaboration between team members
• Ensure everyone working with a contact has the right context
• Reduce confusion around scheduled appointments
• Support real-world team workflows
