Ask AI on Your Phone Can Now Read Your Files and Photos

August 01, 2026

You've had this moment. The answer is sitting right there in a file - a screenshot of a funnel that broke, a CSV of last month's leads, a signed contract PDF. But when you asked the assistant about it, all you could do was describe it in words and hope you got it right.

That's changed. Ask AI in the mobile app can now read your files and photos directly.

What landed

You can now attach images and documents right inside the Ask AI chat. Snap a photo, pick a PDF, choose a file from your phone, or grab one you've already uploaded to your Media Library. Then ask the assistant about it in plain language.

The file uploads in the background while you keep typing, so you're never sitting there waiting. It rides along with your next message as a tidy little chip the assistant can actually read.

Why you'll use it

  • Stop retyping what a screenshot already shows. Attach it and ask.
  • Handle document-based questions from your phone, without reaching for a laptop.
  • Get sharper answers, because the assistant is reading your actual data.
  • Reuse what you've got. Files already in your Media Library attach instantly, no re-upload needed.

How to use it

Open Ask AI from your app's navigation, then start a new chat or open an existing one.

In the composer, tap the paperclip icon. You'll get four sources to pick from: Camera, Gallery, Files, or Media Library. Choose whichever suits what you need.

Your file starts uploading and shows up as a chip. Wait for it to turn from Uploading... to ready, type your question, and hit send.

No question in mind yet? Send the file on its own and Ask AI will analyse it for you.

What's coming

This is the first step. On the way: larger document limits, more file types like spreadsheets and plain text, and in-app previews so you can check an attachment without leaving the chat. Attachment history across chats is being looked at too.

Next time the answer is hiding in a screenshot or a PDF, don't retype it. Just attach it and ask.
